Introduction to Needle Felting

This workshop will explore the wonderful craft of needle felting.

We will begin the workshop by exploring all of the different tools, materials and equipment used in needle felting, what is essential and what to avoid. We will then focus on making a small warm up 3D sculpture, which will teach you how to use the different needles, how to shape the wool and how to join wool.

The rest of the workshop will be spent making our 3D animal. We will study the body shape of the animal and talk about how to create realistic body parts, including looking at muscles, bone structure and face shapes.

Students will leave with two completed items at the end of the workshop and lots of useful knowledge and advice to continuing with this wonderful craft at home.
