Line and Wash Landscapes

A workshop for line and wash beginners, or those looking to sharpen up their skills and learn some new techniques. We will begin with a look at the different varieties of watercolour paint, drawing pens, brushes and papers and what each is used for. We will then study some simple techniques to create different landscapes, how to add in simple lines to create the most effect, techniques for water reflections, how to achieve perspective and some simple, yet effective techniques for creating trees and shrubs. 

All materials provided, however students are welcome to bring their own paints/ brushes.  

 

Start date:

  • Saturday 12th April, 2-4pm at Arlington Arts (Mary Hare, Snelsmore Common, Newbury RG14 3BQ)
